Clarity Enhanced Diamonds
What are Clarity Enhanced Diamonds?
The most beautiful diamond that you have dreamed of is at a price
you can now afford. A clarity enhanced diamond is a real diamond
that is mined from the ground and is not created or man-made. The
method of clarity enhancing is to optically remove feathers and
other internal inclusions that almost every diamond contains. To
achieve this, the diamond goes through a high temperature and
high-pressure thin film infusion process using state-of-the-art
technology. The thin film material is set to match the reflective
index of the diamond itself thus increasing the clarity. This
process results in the diamond's clarity being improved on average
by one and half grades, but does not add any measurable weight. By
filling the inclusion, light traveling through the diamond will not
reflect in an erroneous manner when it hits the filling, giving you
a more visually dazzling diamond.
Why purchase an enhanced diamond?
For its outstanding value. You no longer need to settle for that
smaller diamond. You are now able to purchase that bigger diamond at
an affordable price. Other diamonds of a comparable size and grading
can cost up to 30%-50% more. Your friends and relatives will be
shocked at the size and beauty. The enhancement process is invisible
to the naked eye, and only you and your jeweler will ever know it's
a clarity enhanced diamond.
How do I care for my clarity
enhanced diamonds?
All our clarity enhanced diamonds come with a lifetime warranty, and
should be worn and cared for like all other diamonds. The
enhancement process is not completely irreversible, and can be
reversed in boiling acids, ammonia, and open flames like a jewelers
torch (rule of thumb is temperatures over 1500 degrees). Ultra
sonic, steam cleaning and non-ammonia liquid jewelry cleaners are
safe means for cleaning your clarity enhanced diamonds and jewelry.
If your clarity enhanced diamond jewelry should need repair, merely
inform the jeweler that your diamond is clarity enhanced and the
jeweler should take the necessary minor precautions. Though it is
unlikely your enhanced flaw will ever be reversed, we will gladly
re-enhance your diamond free of charge with our lifetime warranty.
Independent Grading of Diamonds
Most of our clarity enhanced diamonds can be independently graded by
the most trusted gemological labs in the world. Remember, this is a
genuine diamond that has been enhanced so that the clarity grade and
brilliance of the diamond will be gemological appraised at a higher
quality rating then originally had hoped for.
Many jewelers have not kept informed of these advancements and
therefore are without proper knowledge about these types of
diamonds. However, those jewelers who do sell CE diamonds often sell
them for higher prices due to the customers lack of information.
Therefore, we encourage our customers to call with any questions or
concerns so that you can purchase with confidence and trust.

Certified Diamonds
Diamonds can actually receive a certificate
or "cert" as it is called in the industry. This documentation,
issued by the 3rd party laboratory that graded the diamond, will
"certify" its specifications. Sometimes, the certification number is
actually laser inscribed in tiny letters on the diamond itself (not
visible to the human eye). GIA is the certificate most accepted
worldwide. There are other fine certification organizations.
If your diamond has been "Certified" by a third party grading
organization (GIA, AGS, EGL, HRD, IGL, UGL, GAL), the ORIGINAL of
your diamond certificate accompanies the fulfillment of your ring
when you purchase from www.fireinicediamonds.com
We recommend, if you purchase from any other source, that you do not
accept a "copy" of a diamond certificate. Copies can be altered
unfortunately. Also, do not accept a source sending your certificate
at a later date under separate cover. Either a copy or a separate
mailing of your certificate should send up a red flare of caution
for that particular purchase option. Your certificate is a universal
document accepted by licensed gemologists guaranteeing the
specifications of your diamond.
Non-Certified Diamonds
Our Non-Certified Diamonds are the same as
the "Certified Diamonds" but without the Certification by the third
party laboratory. Instead the inspection and grading is done
by Fire in Ice Diamonds and will be presented to you on the website
or via invoice.
